In the BWB Women’s Premier League, Worcester Wolves (Kayla Bell, Niamh Horan) claimed their first win of the season as they defeated visitors Cardiff Met Archers (Jade Atkin) 43:39.

GB athletes competing around the world for their clubs achieved success this weekend, with the US collegiate National Championship claimed by the University of Alabama and a sensational four days of EuroCup action!

University of Alabama (Joy Haizelden) were crowned 2023 National Champions, their third in a row, after a sensational performance in the final where they won 88:41 over Texas-Arlington. Joy Haizelden had 9 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists.

In the Champions Cup Quarter Finals, Group A was held in Elxleben, Germany. A clash of GB athletes on day one as CD Ilunion (Gregg Warburton, Terry Bywater) won 88:67 against Bidaideak Bilbao (James MacSorley). For CD Ilunion, Gregg Warburton had 22 points and 11 assists. Terry Bywater had 16 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists. For Bidaideak Bilbao, James MacSorley had 10 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist.

On day two, CD Ilunion won 69:93 against GSD Porto Torres. Gregg Warburton had 8 points, 3 rebounds and 8 assists. Terry Bywater had 21 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists.

On day three, CD Ilunion were defeated 78:75 by RSB Thuringia Bulls. Gregg Warburton had 19 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists. Terry Bywater had 35 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.

At home in the BWB National League Premier Division, Sheffield Steelers (Tyler Baines, Maddie Thompson) were defeated 49:63 at home by London Titans (Jude Hamer, Jack Perry)

In the US, University of Alabama (Joy Haizelden) remain undefeated (13-0) following a weekend away at The University of Illinois Tournament. First up, University of Alabama won 76:28 against Arizona. In their second match of the weekend, Alabama won 66:28 against hosts Illinois.

At home in the BWB National League, Sheffield Steelers (Tyler Baines, Maddie Thompson) won 79:83 away against Mohawks. Tyler Baines had 21 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Maddie Thompson had 12 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists.

Four BWB National League Premier Division teams and a score of GB players representing their clubs in the Spanish and German leagues are competing in the eagerly anticipated EuroCup Champions Cup group stages this weekend.

The competition features 55 teams from 14 different countries, and will visit 16 locations across four weekends as the stages progress.

The EuroCup gets underway 2^nd – 5^th February with the group stages of the Champions Cup. Following this, EuroCup group stages 1 – 3 and the quarter finals of the Champions Cup takes place 9^th – 12^th March. The EuroCup finals take place 27^th-30^th April in Italy, Spain and Turkey. The Final 4 of Champions Cup will take place in the Netherlands 4^th-7^th May.

Representing the BWB National League Premier Division, four teams are heading out to take part in the EuroCup competition: London Titans, Warwickshire Bears, Manchester Revolution and Plymouth Fusion.

Alongside the four Premier Division teams, several GB players are set to represent their clubs in the Spanish and German leagues.
