GB athletes competing around the world for their clubs achieved success this weekend, with the US collegiate National Championship claimed by the University of Alabama and a sensational four days of EuroCup action!
University of Alabama (Joy Haizelden) were crowned 2023 National Champions, their third in a row, after a sensational performance in the final where they won 88:41 over Texas-Arlington. Joy Haizelden had 9 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists.
In the Champions Cup Quarter Finals, Group A was held in Elxleben, Germany. A clash of GB athletes on day one as CD Ilunion (Gregg Warburton, Terry Bywater) won 88:67 against Bidaideak Bilbao (James MacSorley). For CD Ilunion, Gregg Warburton had 22 points and 11 assists. Terry Bywater had 16 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists. For Bidaideak Bilbao, James MacSorley had 10 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist.

Over in Albacete, Spain, for Group B of the Champions Cup Quarter Finals, RSV Lahn-Dill (Gaz Choudhry, Simon Brown) won 63:58 against Galatasaray SK on day one. Simon Brown had 2 assists, 1 reobund. Gaz Choudhry had 4 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists.
On day two, RSV Lahn-Dill won 49:67 over Econy Gran Canaria. Gaz Choudhry had 3 points and 2 assists. Simon Brown had 4 points and 3 assists.
Hosts Amiab Albacete (Harry Brown, Ben Fox, Lee Manning, Charlotte Moore, Phil Pratt) had a comprehensive 80:36 victory over Econy Gran Canaria on day one. Harry Brown had 2 points and 1 assist.
