GB Women U25 are ready to take on the world!

It’s almost time for the IWBF U25 World Championship to begin in Bangkok, Thailand and the GB Women U25 squad is ready for the challenges ahead.

The 2023 edition of the competition will consist of ten teams competing across two pools before heading into a knockout phases and placing games. The Championship gets underway on October 3rd, with the final taking place on October 9th. All games will be streamed via IWBF’s YouTube channel.

Head Coach George Bates commented:

“Prep is going really well; we’ve got a really tight group. They’re binding the ideas of how we want to play so looking forward to seeing what they can do when we’re out there.

“I think we’ve got a real good blend of experienced players, so a lot of these players have played this summer in major competitions for the senior team, and then we’ve got a really good core of younger players coming through. I’m looking forward to seeing how that experience and fresh ideas merge together and go out there play the way that we want to play.”
