CD Ilunion claimed their first Supercopa de España title and the GB Women U25 squad heads to Worlds!

CD Ilunion (Gregg Warburton, Terry Bywater) won the second edition of the Supercopa de España after a thrilling final against last year’s champions Amiab Albacete (Harry Brown, Simon Brown, Ben Fox, Lee Manning, Charlotte Moore, Phil Pratt). For CD Ilunion, Warburton had 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Bywater had 11 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists.

For Amiab Albacete in the final, Harry Brown had 1 rebound. Simon Brown had 5 points and 1 rebound. Ben Fox had 10 points and 2 rebounds. Lee Manning 9 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Charlotte Moore had 1 rebound and 1 assist. Phil Pratt had 8 points, 4 rebounds and 15 assists.

Ben Fox and Gregg Warburton were named in the All-star Five for the competition.

Bidaideak Bilbao (James MacSorley) claimed third place in the Supercopa, winning 96:44 against Fundación Aliados. MacSorley had 4 points and 1 rebound.

Elsewhere, the GB Women U25 squad arrived in Thailand, Bangkok, ahead of the IWBF Women’s U25 World Championship 2023. The squad features six players who competed across the recent Worlds and Europeans (Jade Atkin, Lucy Robinson, Maddie Martin, Adele Atkin, Ellan Fraser and Anastasia Blease) and Paralympian (Rio 2016) Katie Morrow.
