Having first been involved in the sport as a table official in her teens, Emma worked her way up in the club set-up of Oldham Owls having worked various support staff roles such as team manager, secretary and grants officer.
Emma has a professional background in sport science and fitness, having worked with the GB Women’s team in the build up to Beijing 2008 Paralympics as Team Manager. After Beijing, Emma worked on the Junior programme and as team manager on camps.
During London 2012, Emma was a ITO and worked as a Game Commissioner with the IWBF.
Emma works for GLL, a social enterprise who operate more than 250 leisure centres including Copper Box Arena and National Basketball Performance Centre in Manchester. In this role she utilises her extensive knowledge of performance sport to inspire local communities through the leisure industry.
