Team England have announced their Men’s 3×3 and Women’s 3×3 teams set to represent at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games this month.
Wheelchair Basketball included in the 2022 Commonwealth Games
Birmingham confirmed as the host city for 2022 Commonwealth Games.
British Wheelchair Basketball received an early Christmas present today with the confirmation that the 2022 Commonwealth Games will take place in Birmingham. This decision means that for the first time in the history of the sport, wheelchair basketball will feature in the Games.
Speaking earlier today Paul Hudson, Chair of British Wheelchair Basketball said, “We are delighted that Birmingham has been chosen as the host for the 2022 Commonwealth Games. As a sport we have had a long and successful relationship with the city, who hosted our World Championships in 2010. We are looking forward to the opportunity to showcase our sport to a whole new audience.”
