BWB’s ‘Hoops for All’ school resources relaunched
British Wheelchair Basketball’s educational programme ‘Hoops for All’ has been relaunched. The new resources include ready-to-use activity cards, a player award scheme called ‘All-Star Awards’, and guidance on running competitions.
The programme is designed to help teachers and coaches introduce wheelchair basketball with confidence, track each player’s progress and to give children and young people a positive, inclusive experience of the sport.

No previous experience of delivering sessions is needed, and the progamme can be accessed for free after registering an account via the BWB Learning webpage.
Jay Popat, Engagement Manager at British Wheelchair Basketball, commented:
“The beauty of wheelchair basketball is that it is the most inclusive sport. Adapting it to engage with young people, whether that’s indoor, outdoor, a small space, a big space, whatever that is, you can adapt the sport. We can’t wait to work with you, your schools, your participants, and get you playing wheelchair basketball in some way, shape, or form!”
