The Ottawa 2026 World Championships have concluded, with the GB Men claiming bronze and the GB Women taking fourth place.
Team announcement for the 2025 FISU World University Games
An exciting summer of 3×3 soon gets underway for us at British Wheelchair Basketball as we are set to make history at the 2025 FISU World University Games, hosted in Germany.
This edition of the event is the first time that wheelchair basketball has featured on the programme, and will be competed in the 3×3 format.
James Hazell, Alex Wilson, Shayne Humphries and Will Bishop will represent GB at the competition, with Lucas Warburton as both Team Leader and Coach for the squad.
Throughout the event, around 8,500 student-athletes and officials from over 150 countries will compete in 18 sports.
The wider event itself runs 16 to 27 July 2025, with the wheelchair basketball action taking place 17th – 20th at Jahrhunderthalle Bochum.
