The Community Awards are designed to recognise and celebrate the achievements of highly dedicated members of our sporting community in the past season.

A thrilling three days of competition saw our 2024/25 champions crowned in Worcester as the British Wheelchair Basketball National Championship Finals took place.

The Women’s Premier League got us underway on Friday with back-to-back semi-final action. In the Final on Saturday evening, East London Phoenix won 80:50 against Loughborough Lightning. In the 3rd/4th playoff, Worcester Wolves took third by winning 65:48 against Mohawks.

The Division 3 finals had Swansea Storm claim the top spot having defeated Lothian Phoenix 46:38. In the battle for 3rd/4th, Jaguars took the win 28:51 over Folkestone Arrows.

Our Division 2 finals saw Manchester Revolution deliver a strong team performance to claim the win 41:68 over CWBA. Sheffield Steelers took third place overall, beating High Rollers.

In Division 1, a head-to-head between Sheffield Steelers and Jaguars saw the Newark side take a narrow 49:44 victory. On Court 2, London Titans defeated Aces 65:57 in their competition for 3rd / 4th place.

Closing out proceedings was the long-awaited Premier Division final where the top teams in the country gave it their all. Jaguars were named champions after a gruelling match-up with Sheffield Steelers. In the 3rd/4th playoff, Manchester Revolution defeated last year’s champions London Titans.
