Team England have announced their Men’s 3×3 and Women’s 3×3 teams set to represent at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games this month.
Kevin Currell appointed as Performance Director
British Wheelchair Basketball have appointed Kevin Currell as its new Performance Director, a crucial appointment at the helm of an ambitious strategy for the LA Cycle.
Kevin departs his role at UKSI of Director of Performance Support and Science, ending a stint of eighteen years at the institute. In previous roles at UKSI, Kevin was Head of Performance Nutrition, having worked his way up from joining as an intern in 2006.
Kevin has also been serving as a Non Executive Director on the board for Triathlon England for the last six years, advising in a performance capacity.
In the role of Performance Director at BWB, Kevin will expertly lead the GB programme across the senior squads and our development pathways. Steadily approaching is the IWBF European Championships in October, followed by the IWBF World Championships next year in Ottawa.

Kevin will officially join BWB in the coming months.
