The GB Men and GB Women’s senior performance squads are readying themselves for the challenge coming this September as the IWBF World Championships 2026 take place in Ottawa, Canada.

British Wheelchair Basketball Announces GB U23 Squad for 2025 Men’s U23 World Championships
British Wheelchair Basketball is proud to announce the Great Britain U23 Men’s Squad selected to compete at the 2025 IWBF U23 World Championships, taking place in São Paulo, Brazil, from 12–20 June.
The squad features a blend of returning talent and exciting new prospects, with two debutants earning their first call-up to the U23 squad.
Last Saturday, 12th April, the official group draw was held at the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball, determining the two groups for the tournament. Great Britain were drawn into Group B, alongside the USA, Philippines, Italy, Japan and South Africa.
On the road to Brazil, the team will come together for a series of training camps, under the guidance of the experienced coaching team: Head Coach Ade Orogbemi, supported by Assistant Coaches Joe Bestwick and Mark Stevenson.
