Team England have announced their Men’s 3×3 and Women’s 3×3 teams set to represent at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games this month.
GB stars head out for their first club matches of 2022
Last weekend our GB athletes resumed their club seasons in Europe, with several players proving instrumental in BSR Amiab Albacete continuing their winning streak in the Spanish league.
In Spain, GB players led BSR Amiab Albacete (without Lee Manning) to a thrilling 79:70 victory over CD Ilunion (without Terry Bywater). Kyle Marsh had 25 points and 9 assists and maintains his average for the season at 24.1ppg. Amiab continue their winning streak having not yet lost a game in the 2021/2022 season.
Greg Warburton (Ilunion) chalked up the highest assists throughout the match with 16 for Ilunion and added 12 points to their total.
GB trio Abdi Jama, Tyler Baines and Peter Cusack took Amivel Reyes Gutierrez to their first victory of 2022, collectively putting up 25 points for their team in a 50:68 win against UCAM Murcia BSR. Jama and Cusack entered the court as part of the starting line-up, with Baines entering at the end of the first quarter.
James Macsorley featured for Bidaideak Bilbao BSR with 6 points and claimed their third victory in a row with a comfortable 66:42 win over Allies Foundations.
Elsewhere, GB pair Charlotte Moore and Phil Pratt took to the court for Mideba Extremadura, narrowly edged out by BSR Ace Gran Canaria 67:63. With a solid performance delivering 7 assists, Pratt continues to be Mideba’s top performer on assists with an impressive season average of 9.7.
In the Italian league, Giulianova defeated Bergamo 66 – 53 with Martin Edwards 21 points for Bergamo.
In France, Fin Tonner’s Red Dragon’s Metz suffered a 72-67 defeat against Guyenne Leopards. Red Dragon’s Metz currently sit second in the table overall.
At home, Jake Robinson had 6 points and Elliot Hardman 18 for CWBA in their 64:68 victory over Exeter Otters (Dan Smith 26, Jordan Bright 20).
Conn Nagle had 29 points for Sheffield Steelers in their 73:48 win over The Owls

This weekend coming up, GB athletes Simon Brown and Jim Palmer will get their first games of the year underway on Saturday (15th January). RSV Lahn-Dill (Simon Brown) travel to RBC Cologne 99ers, and Rhine River Rhinos (Jim Palmer) head to Hannover United.
In Spain, Servigest Burgo (Callum Doherty and Lee Fryer) are set to play their fixture against Fundación Fdi Las Rozas.
Over in France, Red Dragon Metz (Fin Tonner) will host top of the table Les Aigles Du Velay in a promising clash between the current two league leaders on Saturday. Elsewhere, CVHG Gennevilliers (Tom Barnes) travel to Club Tregorrois Handisport De Lannion 1.
A GB head-to-head will take place on Saturday in Italy as Dinamo Lab Banco Di Sardegna (Billy Bridge) travel to Avis S. Stefano (Oliver-Griffiths Salter). Elsewhere, Briantea 84 Cantù (Sophie Carrigill and Ian Sagar) will host Studio 3A Millennium Basket, and Bergamo Montello (Martin Edwards) welcome Menarini Wheelchair Sport Firenze.
