Team England have announced their Men’s 3×3 and Women’s 3×3 teams set to represent at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games this month.
GB Men secure Tokyo qualification and a place in the semi-finals
All eyes were firmly focused on the wheelchair basketball courts of Poland yesterday as the GB Men took to court to secure their Paralympic qualification. A dominant win over France saw the GB men’s team deliver an impressive 42pt victory over their opposition.
Decisive play from the World Championship team never left any doubt regarding their determination to qualify for Tokyo and deliver their sixth successive win of the tournament.
GB’s #8 George Bates was on fire with his on-point scoring; with just 13 minutes played during the quarter final game, the 4.5 player added 18pts to the scoreboard with an impressive shooting average.
Their win against France sees the men progress to face current European Champions Turkey in the tournament’s Semi-Finals. The two teams have a fierce history so undoubtedly today’s Semi-Final promises to be an epic battle. Watch the action unfold live.
