Follow Jim Palmer

First taking-up the sport after being introduced to wheelchair basketball at a Whizz-Kidz skills event, Jim Palmer’s love for the sport began when he joined the Essex Outlaws at age 10. Just two years later, Jim was invited to a GB development camp where his ambition to progress to the elite of the sport was nurtured.

After two years at Essex Outlaws, Jim moved to London Titans, playing for the London-based club for seven years, making his GB junior debut in 2013 at the U23 World Championships in Turkey. His first international title followed a year later with victory at the U22 European Championships.

Making the move to Germany to play for Rhine River Rhinos Wiesbaden in 2016, Jim was named in the GB U23 team that made history in 2017, winning gold at the 2017 U23 World Championships team.

It was a tournament that saw the Essex native named in the All-Star Team after superb performances throughout to help the junior team become U23 World Champions. Jim who made his GB senior debut during Great Britain’s historic World Championship gold in 2018.
