It’s another big weekend of action for GB athletes playing for clubs in Europe as the seasons get closer to their climax in Spain and Germany.

In Germany, all eyes will be on the RBBL1 Championship final as Helen Freeman’s RSB Thuringia Bulls and RSV Lahn-Dill, featuring Simon Brown and Ian Sagar, go head-to-head in the first game of the best-of-three play-off final on Saturday at 17:00 (UK Time).

The second and, if required, the deciding third game will be played next weekend (15 & 16 May).

The GB athletes playing in Spain head into their final three weekends of league games and there’s a full fixture list on Saturday including a second meeting in quick succession between Mideba Extremadura and CD Ilunion.

It’s only two days since the teams met in the reverse fixture with Terry Bywater scoring 18 points and Gregg Warburton six points as they helped CD Ilunion to a 77:52 victory in Madrid.

George Bates was the highest-scoring Mideba player with 17 points, while Phil Pratt recorded a game-high nine assists along with six points. Billy Bridge’s five points included a three-pointer and Mideba will be wanting to avenge Thursday’s defeat when they play on their home court in Badajoz.
