Gaz Choudhry top-scores in Spain as Kyle Marsh continues to lead scoring charts

Gaz Choudhry top-scored while Kyle Marsh continues to lead the total points scored in Spain after seven GB players all helped their club teams to victory in a reduced fixture list across Europe (7th November). 

With no games featuring GB players going ahead in Germany, all eyes were on the two fixtures in Spain with four GB internationals representing BSR Amiab Albacete in their game v Fundacion FDI Las Rozas and three in Mideba Extremadura’s victory over Bidaideak Bilbao BSR.

In Albacete, Kyle Marsh continued his good start to the season with his 14 points in gameday two ensuring the 30-year-old remained top of the Division de Honor scoring charts after his joint-high total of 34 points last week. 

Marsh also posted a game-high 11 assists in Albacete’s 78:53 win over Fundacion FDI Las Rozas. Gaz Choudhry got Albacete off to a positive start with a three-pointer 46 seconds into the first quarter; one of three  three-pointers Choudhry scored in his total of 23 points, the most of any player across the three games played in Spain last weekend.

Ben Fox scored 11 points with Harry Brown adding a further four points to Albacete’s total. 

World and European Championships winning captain Phil Pratt posted a weekend-high 12 assists as Pratt, Billy Bridge and George Bates were all part of the team that helped Mideba Extremadura secure back-to-back wins. 

Along with the league-high assists, Pratt scored 14 points and recorded nine rebounds in Mideba’s 61:50 victory over Bidaideak Bilbao BSR. Bridge and Bates, scored 10 and eight points, respectively, with Mideba level on points with Fundacion Aliados at the top of Division de Honor.
