Team East makes history as it wins the fourth BWB All-Star Game and CWBA, Blackhawks and North Wales Knights claim the Women’s League division titles.
This weekend marked the third and final Women’s League of the 2017/18 season. A packed schedule was played throughout the two days at the Nottingham Wildcats Arena. Teams from across the length and breadth of the UK and Home Countries travelled to the Nottingham venue to compete.
The largest Women’s Wheelchair Basketball League in the world welcomed more teams than ever before for the 2017/18 season.
The final round in the calendar saw the Women’s League division title winners decided as well an opportunity to watch the annual All-Star showcase game. In a spectacularly close game Team East claimed its first All-Star win against the current title holders Team West, with a 54-47 final score.
Division Placings:
Division 1 – Winners CWBA, Runner-Up Angels of the North 1
Division 2 – Winners Blackhawks, Runner-Up Leicester Cobras
Division 3 – Winners North Wales Knights, Runner-Up Scottish Women 2
National Championships – Women’s League:
The top four Division 1 teams will also continue to compete for the Women’s League Championship Title at the British Wheelchair Basketball National Championships on Sunday 27 May 2018. These teams are:

- Angels of the North 1
- Sheffield Steelers 1
- The Vixens
