At the age of 16 Lanre was introduced to wheelchair basketball by his occupational therapist.
The Accounting and Finance student quickly became a fan of the sport for its speed and skill, but also its inclusivity and competitiveness.
The Chatham local has ambitions to one day represent GB at senior level. He credits wheelchair basketball for developing his mental toughness and resilience, and his ability to cope in high pressure situations.
Lanre’s selection for the 2018 U22 Men’s European Championships marked international debut representing GB at a major tournament.
