Biography

Introduced to wheelchair basketball through a recommendation by her mum – Adele has loved the sport ever since.

An active wheelchair basketball player Adele has played in all three of the British Wheelchair Basketball Leagues, playing National League, Junior League and Women’s League. She was selected to represent Team West in the 2018/19 Women’s League All-Star game.

The Uniformed Services student was first selected for GB Women’s Junior Training Squad in March 2018; her inclusion in the 2018 U24 European’s Team signalled her debut international appearance for GB, her subsequent 2019 U25 World Championships selection marked her second GB representation.

Her advice to anyone thinking of trying out this sport… “It’s hard to do something new, but it really can change your life.”
