British Wheelchair Basketball announces appointment of three Non-Executive Directors to its board

British Wheelchair Basketball are delighted to announce the appointment of Kevin Analuwa, Emma Foden and Frances Kremarik to the board, effective from 8th March 2023.

Kevin Analuwa joins the board as an Independent Non-Executive Director (EDI Champion). Currently a Senior Vice President at the multi-national investment bank JP Morgan, Kevin has over 18 years of experience within the financial services industry with expertise in treasury and cash management. Kevin is a strong advocate for diversity, equity and inclusivity, having regionally led DEI initiatives at JP Morgan.

Emma Foden and Frances Kremarik join the board as Non-Executive Sports Directors, having successfully been nominated and appointed during the 2022 Annual General Meeting (minutes available here).

Emma Foden joins the board with an extensive knowledge of the sport and both club and elite settings, having worked her way through the ranks of club roles all the way to Paralympic level. Emma works for GLL, a social enterprise who operate more than 250 leisure centres including Copper Box Arena and National Basketball Performance Centre in Manchester. In this role she utilises her extensive knowledge of performance sport to inspire local communities through the leisure industry.

Frances Kremarik brings a broad experience of the sport from her accomplished career as an official, having been an active member of BWB for over ten years. Frances has been an integral part of the officiating teams at all levels of the game, from domestic tournaments and fixtures to international competitions. When not on a basketball court, Frances is a Senior Lecturer in air transport at the University of Westminster teaching at the post-graduate level.

Chair of the board Jules Parke-Robinson commented:

“I’m excited to welcome our new board members to British Wheelchair Basketball. Having an injection of fresh perspective, ideas and challenge is extremely healthy. Kevin, Emma and Frances will add a real diversity of thought to the board as we continue our mission to transform lives through wheelchair basketball.”

Accomplished GB Paralympian Dan Johnson retires from the board having completed an eight year tenure as Non-Executive Sports Director, having first been elected in 2015.
