Players Pathway England

England Pathway

The England Pathway is an athlete development programme that selects players from our club network, introduces them to the performance landscape whilst providing an individual development plan that feeds directly into the Great Britain wheelchair basketball performance programme.

There are many stages to this programme that work in conjunction with each other, whilst a player is part of the England Pathway, they may also be competing for their local club along with attending GB training sessions. The pathway is focused on mapping out a players journey along this pathway providing clear outcomes for the athlete to work towards. Although this may not be rigidly defined by the athletes age, there are age specific stages working that athletes, parents and coaches should be aware of.
