The 2018-19 academic year at the University of East London saw the launch of an ambitious, 10-year strategy – Vision 2028 – designed to transform our curriculum, research impact and partnerships.

The aim? To make a positive difference to student, graduate and community success.

Our goal is to become the leading careers-focused, enterprising university in the UK, one which both prepares our students for the jobs of the future and provides the innovation to drive that future sustainably and inclusively.

In 2010, East London Sport was created. Since then we have won the BUCS Most Improved University for Sports and increased our ranking 81 positions in the BUCS ranking

We have also helped develop nine Olympians and Paralympians, and now have 34 teams across a wide range of sports, involving over 500 active students.

And now, with the launch of our very first franchise in the shape of the East London Phoenix, we’ll be working hard to inspire not just the region, but an entire city – championing female and disability sport.

For us, #BeTheChange isn’t just a social media hashtag – it’s what we do.
