Biography

Already part of multiple GB medal successes at both senior and junior level, Kayla Bell began the sport at age eight having been introduced to the sport by a teaching assistant at her primary school.

First starting out representing her club and region in BWB’s domestic competitions, Kayla helped the U24 Women’s squad secure back-to-back golds at the 2016 and 2018 U24 European Championships.

The Business Psychology graduate made her senior major championships debut as part of the 2018 World Championship squad in Hamburg where the team secured a place at the final and claimed the silver medal – both firsts for a GB Women’s Team.

A year later, Kayla was part of the team who made history again, reaching the final of the European Championships for the first time, claiming silver. Kayla’s latest success came just a few months after she was part of the GB junior team who returned from the U25 World Championships in Thailand with bronze.

At the 2022 IWBF World Championships (played in 2023), Kayla was part of the GB Women’s team that finished in ninth place.
