Brooke believes that wheelchair basketball has helped build her confidence and enabled her to play at a higher level. The Gateshead player is motivated on a daily basis to be the best that she can be and encourages other young players not to worry too much and to play to their abilities.

Following her first Futures Camp, Tees Valley Titans player Brooke Mottram, decided that she wanted to be an elite athlete. The U25 World Championships marked her first international junior appearance for GB.

Brooke’s personal motto is that everything negative is an opportunity for her to rise.
