Biography

In September 2019 Phil and the GB Men added to their title wins with a spectacular gold at the European Championships.

In 2018 the GB Men’s team bought home the World Championships title. The team’s cohesion, agility and tactical play ensured a successful championships. In the spectacular final against the USA, GB Captain Phil added 12 points and 12 assists to the score sheet to secure the win.

The 2016 Rio Games marked the 3.0 player’s first appearance for ParalympicsGB, however, Phil made his debut for the GB Men’s B Team at the 2012 Standard Life Continental Clash. Two years later, he took to court for the nation’s first team at his first major tournament – the 2014 World Championships in South Korea.

The London 2012 IPC Flag Bearer has both a junior and senior European titles to his name with Great Britain, having secured a U22 gold in 2014.

Phil was co-captain of the GB Men’s team who achieved silver at the 2022 World Championships (played in 2023), and was named in the Men’s All-Star Five alongside teammate Gregg Warburton.
