National League preview: Full fixture list in Premier Division as three teams battle for top spot

All eight Premier Division teams in the BWB National League will be in action on the same weekend for the first time this season with Sheffield Steelers, The Owls and NI Knights all battling to end the weekend on top.

With reigning champions, Sheffield Steelers not playing until Sunday, The Owls and NI Knights both have the chance to go to the top of the table when they meet on Saturday at 2pm (BST).

The Owls travel to Northern Ireland unbeaten in the Premier Division this season after victories over The Steelers and the Exeter Otters so far this season.

NI Knights are also on four points – one point behind the league leaders – from the three games they have played this season.

Whether The Owls or NI Knights end Saturday at the top of the table, The Steelers can reclaim their top spot with a win over Exeter Otters on Sunday afternoon.

The Otters lost to The Owls in their only game since returning to the Premier Division – despite a resilient performance in Manchester. The Steelers will be hoping to bounce back with a win following their defeat to The Owls last time out.

The first Premier Division game of the weekend will see Tees Valley Titans take to the National League court for the first time since victory on the opening weekend. Their opponents, The Bears, are still searching for their first win of the season having come within eight points in their last two games.

The Premier Division clash between London Titans v CWBA will be part of a double header between the two clubs, with the 2s in action in Division 1 following the conclusion of the top-flight match.

The Titans’ first team began their season with a win two weeks ago, while CWBA have one win and one defeat from their two games.

Division 2 South

It will be a busy weekend for the Titans with the third team also in action as they travel to Norwich Lowriders in Division 2 South.

Titans v Lowriders is one of four fixtures in Division 2 South this weekend; with all eight teams in action.

The top-two of Frenfold Falcons and Sussex Bears will go head-to-head; both looking to extend their 100 per cent winning starts to the 2019/20 campaign.

Plymouth Raiders are targeting back-to-back wins when they travel to Hampshire Harriers after beginning their season with a win over Cardiff Met Archers, two weeks ago.

The Archers are also back in action, still looking for their first win of the season, as they host High Rollers on Saturday, who have one win and one defeat.

Division 2 North

There are three games in Division 2 North this weekend, starting with Tees Valley Titans 2 against Glasgow Rocks 2. Tees Valley Titans could leapfrog Lothian Phoenix (not playing this weekend) at the top of the table, if they were to beat Glasgow by 45 points on Saturday.

As could Wolverhampton – who have the same points difference as The Titans – depending on their result against NW Knights 2, who are also on four points.

Birmingham Phoenix and Leicester Cobras go head-to-head; both searching for their first victory.
